The FRIO® Cooling Case will improve the life of anyone dependent on or many other temperature-sensitive medications.

The FRIO® is a evaporative cooler whose cooling properties do not come from an icepack – or anything that needs refrigeration. Its cooling properties come from the evaporation of water. When activated, it its temperature under 78F for a minimum of two days, even in temperatures of 100°F.

For a FRIO® to be activated, simply soak it in water for 5 – 10 minutes. It retains its cooling properties for a minimum of two full days. After that, re-soak it in water and it is good for another two days – and so on, and so on…

While a traditional medication cooling case gives you a six to eight hour “chain” to refrigeration, FRIO cuts that chain. The FRIO® offers the security of not being dependent on refrigeration for the life-critical cooling of your insulin. It gives you freedom and flexibility to enjoy life as you choose.

Furthermore, because you do not need an icepack or the surrounding insulating materials, the FRIO® wallet is lighter and smaller than traditional medication-cooling cases. There are various sizes of FRIO® available – some small enough to fit in your jean pocket.

Frio for EpiPen Jr I bought this product to store an EpiPen Jr in the hot weather. I had a hard time deciding what size to get and settled on the Large. Anything smaller would have been too small for our use. The large will fit 2 EpiPen Jrs, in their cases but without the clip when it has been soaked for 7-10 minutes and allowed to air dry for the recommended 30 minutes. I was able to cram 4 of the individually packaged prefilled Benadryl 5 ml liquid blister packs (Walgreens brand) in around the EpiPens…

This product is MAGNIFICENT! I wanted some method of keeping my insulin cool without electricity and without freezing packs while traveling. I soaked the granule sleeve in the sink with cold water for about 30 minutes. I swelled up a lot and soft and squishy like jelly inside. I put the viles into it and placed the pack in a breathable carrying case. I put the pack in the back seat of the car out of the sun and we took off. The temp was about 75F in the car. 6 hours later we arrived at our hotel, checked in and I opened…

Keeps things room-temperature cool I found descriptions of the Frio cooling bags somewhat misleading. I bought it with an idea that we could keep unopened insulin there. It has to be kept refrigerated, so I thought it would be great if we did not have to depend on coolers and ice-packs when flying. Learned the hard way. It does not keep things refrigerated-cool. It does keep items at cooler room temperature, so it’s good if you have something that may spoil in the heat but does not need to be refrigerated. We ended up still…
