The FRIO® will improve the life of anyone dependent on insulin or many other temperature-sensitive medications.

The FRIO® is a evaporative cooler whose cooling properties do not come from an icepack – or anything that needs refrigeration. Its cooling properties come from the evaporation of water. When activated, it keeps its temperature under 78F for a minimum of two days, even in temperatures of 100°F.

For a FRIO® to be activated, simply soak it in water for 5 – 10 minutes. It retains its cooling properties for a minimum of two full days. After that, re-soak it in water and it is good for another two days – and so on, and so on…

While a traditional cooling case gives you a six to eight hour “chain” to refrigeration, FRIO cuts that chain. The FRIO® offers the security of not being dependent on refrigeration for the life-critical cooling of your insulin. It gives you freedom and flexibility to enjoy life as you choose.

Furthermore, because you do not need an icepack or the surrounding insulating materials, the FRIO® wallet is lighter and smaller than traditional medication-cooling cases. There are various sizes of FRIO® available – some small enough to fit in your jean pocket.

keeps my insulin pen or two vials cooler and more even temped I bought this after having been given one and liking it; it keeps my insulin at at a more even temperature when I’m on the go.Pro’s+ it keeps my insulin’s temperature from swinging, so it doesn’t get as stressed from changes and lasts better+ it works exactly as it says: soak the bag in water, then slow evap from the crystals inside keep the bag cooler than outside temp+ in cold weather it actually keeps my insulin pen from getting as cold in the car or in my pack, tho…

Works great! These work great. I started taking Victoza shortly before a trip to Florida (yay Disney World). The medication isn’t strictly required to stay cold but does want to stay below 80 something degrees. I felt more comfortable carrying the injection pen in the FRIO because it can get rather hot in Florida. It worked well and kept the pen cool but not cold. This individual size fit the one pen I took just fine. TSA didn’t even bat an eye at it. I only used it during the flights and otherwise…

Amazing product for what it is designed for. I am on two medications that I self-inject. Although not insulin, they are VERY expensive and must be refrigerated. Cost me $5000 to replace one when I got caught on a plane tarmac in a snowstorm for 6 hours. (My ice pack expired and the flight attendants ran out of ice.) These are amazing. So easy to use, very compact (unlike the coolers that were the only option before these), and they work fantastically. Whether a short road trip or long flight, I just stick my injection pens in and no more…
