Well worth the purchase This was purchased as a gift for my sister who has just been diagnosed as diabetic. She thought life was over after the info her doc had given her. New way of “life” I am searching for “how” to eat now. Evidently, being a foodie for over most of my 69 years has now become a whole ‘nuther problem….diabetes! If food caused this problem, maybe it’s also the cure….well, it makes sense to me. My Dr said one thing that has made me think strongly about this… “Your pancreas don’t like sweet blood….” 😀 so, I won’t feed it sweet food and see what happens!! After one month, my blood readings have dropped over 110 points. 😀😀😀😀😀

Nothing more than a cook book I was expecting much more detail on what food to eat and not to eat, like exactly what fruits are good and bad. That section is about 5 pages long, the rest of the book is recipes. Everything in this book you can get online for free, especially from the American Diabetes Organization. Save your money and subscribe to their magazine Living With Diabetes for 12 bucks.
